Pray for North Africa

his week, our prayer network continues praying through Romans 12.

If you are praying with us more than one time this week, the repetition of staying in the same few verses each day is not accidental. We pray the same small passage throughout the week to meditate on and savor these words, and have greater understanding that leads to more faith-filled prayers.

Romans 12:6-8 CSB
⁵ in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. ⁶ According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the proportion of one’s faith; ⁷ if service, use it in service; if teaching, in teaching; ⁸ if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness.

With each section below, the prayers written are examples to inspire you to pray within these categories, inspired by the scripture. Follow the thoughts that God gives you. Spend as much time as you wish in each of the three sections of Thanksgiving, Worship, and Intercession.

Thanksgiving: Thank you for the gifts you have given your body Lord! Thank you for the gifts you’ve given me. (Name them!) Thank you for the gifts that others in my life have chosen to show. Thank God for the gifts of workers in North Africa who you know. Name them, and consider sending them an encouraging word about their gifts.

Worship: Lord, you are the first one to prophecy. You are the first one to serve. You are first to teach, exhort, give, lead, and show mercy. (Remember and tell Him about specific times he has exercised these gifts in your life.) You are the giver of every good and perfect gift!

Intercession: Lord, please pour out your spiritual gifts on people in North Africa! In Morocco, increase those who are gifted with leadership, service, and exhortation. May many be led by your Spirit in boldness and mercy to reach the whole nation through a locally-led church planting movement.
